DENOSA Gender launches 16 Days of Activism campaign to highlight the importance of forensic nursing in evidence-gathering in cases of abuse

The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) cordially invites the media to the launch of its 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children. The launch will highlight issues of abuse of women in the workplace as well as abuse of children, most of whom often end up in health facilities. The launch will also highlight the importance of forensic nursing and how it can assist with evidence-gathering in cases of abuse.

The 16 Days of Activism against women and child abuse is an international campaign which takes place each year. It runs from 25 November (International day for the elimination of Violence against Women) to 10 December (World Human Rights Day).The campaign aims to raise awareness on gender-based violence as a human rights violation globally.
